Located in the village of Johnson, Vermont, the Vermont Studio Center (VSC) is a non-profit Artist-in-Residence founded by a group of artists in 1984. With a 36-year history and renowned reputation, VSC gathers art practitioners from all corners of the world, and has professional facilities for visual arts, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, printmaking, photography, ironing, welding, woodwork, etc. Founded with the objective of creating an ideal international community for creative ideas, VSC provides practitioners an environment free of interferences, as well as professional peers and consultations with mentors in order to support potential artists and writers. VSC also spares no effort in advocating the rights for artists. Artists with disabilities can create freely at VSC, where the accessible space meets U.S. standards. One of the studios features hearing-aid equipment for artists with hearing impairment.
