Graduating from CalArts's metal draft department in 2014, Wang excels at using metal with mixed media, and also works with ink painting and ceramics. Chinese culture and religions are the main themes of many of her works. Through her work, Wang ponders the similarities and differences of materials and their conflicts with the mind. She also explores environmental issues through her art. After residencies in Japan and Finland, and a nomad-like trip to Tibet, Wang currently lives in the town of Puli, Taiwan.

The magnificent nature in Tibet and the local people's humbleness and respect for the world made Wang to contemplate her relationship with mother nature. In her works, Wang applied techniques of Filigree sand painting learned while in Tibet with the red earth from Puli to amplify the inspirations she had from small plants in her daily surroundings. She also put sacred water in a shrine of nature to show her gratitude for everything in life.

Artists get to know different cultures through residency programs. They are great opportunities to examine whether one is too accustomed to certain social norms. During her time in Tibet, Wang observed the differences between the Han people and Tibetans. While the Han people define success mostly by the possession of materials and utilitarianism, Tibetans pursue religious and spiritual growth in their resource-limited lives. The expressions on their content faces were one of the greatest rewards Wang reaped in Tibet.
