As a Taiwanese contemporary jewelry designer living in Europe for years, Wu Shu-Lin's works speak for her experiences in a silent language: in wearable jewels that make physical contact with the wearers, concrete colors and forms embody the similarities and differences of both the East and the West.

In recent years, Wu's jewelry creations have seen the use of ceramics, a symbol of her hometown. The origin and history of ceramics resonate with her upbringing, and after years of digesting, she is infusing these diverse influences into her works.

The "Greenware Crockery Chinawear" project began from Wu's exchange program with Peter Hoogeboom, a Dutch ceramic jewelry artist. They were once resident artists in each other's country, and exchanged cultures, creative ideas, techniques, etc. Wu's works not only feature Asian elements, as from her background, but also impressions from the Netherlands' erotic culture through molding. These symbols of Dutch erotica became her creative language that brings aestheticism and erotica closer to a balance.
